George, known as Peanut, was born prematurely at 25 weeks, weighing 1 lb. 12 oz. He spent 6 months in the hospital due to his premature birth. The prognosis given by the doctor suggested a 20% chance of survival. He surpassed expectations and miraculously recovered, yet faced notable delays and setbacks. 22 years later he completed high school however not all premature births overcome the setbacks some like George will need to rely on their parents or guardians for their lifelong care.
Five years ago George started making freshies by shaking a mason jar, leading to online sales to family and friends.
We made a decision to invest our own funds and leave our full-time jobs to launch SFWP. What we initially did for George has now enabled us to assist others and explore opportunities in vocational training while fulfilling a crucial need for our son and other young adults with different abilities.
