How to make a Freshie with Premium Aroma Beads

Supplies you will need: SFWP Premium Aroma Beads, metal cookie cutter or heat resistant silicone mold, non-stick baking pan, roofing nail or mini drill (optional), and baking oven.

Step 1: Preheat oven to 345 Fahrenheit (adjustments may be necessary) you will need to test your own oven to see which temperature works best for you. We strongly recommend baking 1 to 2 freshies at a time for testing purposes. Baking times can vary based on your oven temperature. Suggested Baking temp (345F for 8-9 minutes).

Step 2: Place the thin side of the cookie cutter on the non-stick baking pan. We recommend a non-stick pan for easy release and quick cleanup. Position your roofing nail facing up inside the cookie cutter or heat resistant mold at the top in the center. Leave some space between the nail and top center. If you prefer you can use a mini handheld drill to make the hole later (optional).

Step 3: Pour your scented beads into the cookie cutter until 3/4 full then spreading evenly around the cutter. Pack the beads down using your finger or a flat object until the beads are leveled.

Step 4: Place the pan in the oven to bake for 8-9 minutes. (Baking times will vary depending on your oven). When you take them out of your oven allow them to cool down for 10-15 minutes. It’s easier to pop them out while they are warm, if you allow them to cool down completely it’s harder to take out of the cutter.

Congratulations! You made your first freshie (custom air freshener) carefully remove the nail or you can drill a hole using a 1/8 drill bit. Cut 12 inches of an elastic string, loop through the hole, and hang or store in a polypropylene bag. Tip: They are great to make air freshener sachets to hang in your car, closets, locker, office, bathroom or any small spaces.
